Died: At Kennard, Pa.,
June 8, David Luse, after a lingering illness, aged 85 years, 3 months
and 13 days. Deceased was one of the pioneer citizens of Sugar Grove
township 60 years ago, having cleared the farm on which he lived and
died. He was well known by many of the old settlers who have long since
died. He was a conscientious Christian, having been a member of the
church for over 40 years. He leaves to mourn his loss, an aged wife,
one son, O. P., of Meadville, Pa., and seven daughters, thirty-six
grandchildren and thirty four great-grandchildren. Deceased was an
uncle of Governor Luse, of Michigan. Funeral took place Wednesday
of last week.
