Mrs. Paul A. Gill
Mrs.
Edith K. Gill, 73, of Jefferson Twp., Mercer R.D. &, died at her
home at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 1972, after a sudden illness.
A
daughter of Fred and Mary Matthews Koerber, she was born Sept. 7, 1898,
in Monessen. She married Mr. Gill in 1919. A resident of Mercer most of
her life, Mrs. Gill was employed as a telephone operator. She
attended Farrell Schools and was a member of the Big Bend United
Methodist Church, Jefferson Twp. Grange and the Martha Washington Club.
Surviving
in addition to her husband are three daughters, Shirley Gill, at home,
Mrs. Leslie (Mary Lou) Weldon of Mercer R. D. 7, and Mrs. Leland
(Nellie) Mount of Mercer R. D. 7; Mrs. Mae Wheeler of St. Petersburg,
Fla., Mrs. Sadie Kelly of Wheatland, Mrs. Mildred Rodenbaugh, Mrs.
Thomas (Ruth) Stafford and Mrs. Harry (Margaret) Dye all of Sharon and
one brother, Harry Koerber of West Middlesex; nine grandchildren and
one niece, Mrs. Joseph (June) Brenneman, Mercer, who was raised by Mr.
and Mrs. Gill.
One son, Paul F. Gill (Buzz), one daughter, Mrs. William (Vivian) Schell and two brothers preceded her in death.
Services
will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the Miller Funeral Home, South
Pitt St., Mercer. Interment will follow in Mt. Washington (Zahniser)
Cemetery, Jefferson Twp.
