A Sad Accident
Mr.
Jesse Ruhlman, son of Amos Ruhlman, of Perry township, while crossing
Otter Creek with a traxion engine near the Thomas McCleery farm in
Delaware township, Saturday morning at half past nine. The bridge gave
away and let the engine and water tank both down. Mr. Ruhlman was
caught between the two and crushed so badly that he died Tuesday
morning at 5 o'clock. Mr. Ruhlman was 46 years old, married and had
five children, four sons and one daughter. The sad event has caused a
shadow to fall upon the whole neighborhood. The facts of the
terrible accident were obtained from his partner, Mr. Austin Eich.
Funeral
services occur to day (Thursday), conducted by Rev. Dr. D. B.
Lady. Interment at Jerusalem Reformed cemetery (Donation).
