Samuel James Booth, 76,
of Greenville R.D. 5, died at 8:30 a.m. Monday, July 12, 1971, at his
home. He had been ill for several years with cancer.
A son
of William Harvey and Mary Jane Fry Booth, he was born Sept. 6, 1894 in
West Salem Twp. where he had resided all his life. On Nov. 19, 1918, he
was married to the former Emma Reeher. Mr. Booth was a farmer and had
formerly been employed by Penn Mould, Sharon Steel and Greenville
Steele Car Co.
Surviving in addition to his widow are one son,
William R. Booth, Greenville; one daughter, Mrs. Everett (Marian M.)
Artman, Cortland; one brother, Lauren F Booth, Greenville; five
grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A son preceded him in death.
Services
will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 15, at the Andrew Harper Osborn,
Jr. Home. Interment will follow in Rock Ridge Cemetery.
