The Central School
Central
School replaced the old Pine Grove School with a new brick building in
1900. Voters approved a $24,000 bond issue in 1900.
W. G.
Eckles of New Castle, laid out the plans and Hayes and Holler, also of
New Castle, began construction on the building. The building
was
completed in 1901 for $19,300.

Central
School was torn down to make way for a McDonald's Restaurant. All that
remains of the school today are the large discs from the front of the
building.
